SSG at UK Games Expo 2024
The UK's biggest games extravaganza, UK Games Expo, takes place between 31 May and 2 June 2024 - only a week to go!
Surprised Stare Games will be there as usual; we've had a stand at Expo for every one since its inception in 2007. This year, we're in Hall 1, Stand 1-226.
We will have the following goodies for purchase:
New games
Last Bug Standing in the Circle of Doom! Our new 2-player game by Bez Shahriari will be available for demo and purchase. In addition, Bez herself, our esteemed designer, will be around to help out, and even to sign copies - probably 13:00 to 13:30 on Friday and Sunday. However, she also has a stand at the Expo: Hall 1, 1-T11, so please check her other games out too.
War of the 3 Sanchos, 1065-67, our brand new 1-3 player Pocket Campaigns game will also be available for demo and purchase. I am also proud to announce that our wonderful Pocket Campaigns games designer, David J Mortimer, will be with us each morning to demo and sign copies.
Pocket Campaigns games
For the first time, we will have all 4 of our Pocket Campaigns games available at a show. So, if you’ve not got them all yet, please visit our stand at 1-226 at UK Games Expo. These are:
We will also have copies of Kingmaker (by Gibsons Games) for sale at a special show price, as well as a small number of Tony Boydell’s solo game Lux Aeterna.
Please stop by our stand in Hall 1, 1-226 to say hi.
While on https://nouveauxcasino.net, I found myself thinking about how chance and strategy coexist in tabletop games, so the news that all four Pocket Campaigns will be on sale at once really stood out to me. Having David J Mortimer on hand to demo each morning must make those compact war games far more approachable—I often skip complex games at expos because I never know where to start. Hope the stand is busy.
Wish I could be there!
